How many times a month does it run?

Hands-on time, per run Hours somebody is actually working on it. Add up every person's time, not the clock.

Start to finish, per run Calendar days from the first touch to the thing being done. Weekends included — the client counts them.

Where does it sit longest? Your honest guess is fine. The Audit's job is to replace it with a measurement.

What this isn't

This is arithmetic on numbers you guessed. The Audit is the measurement.

Everything above is division. It takes the figures you typed and shows you their shape — which is more than most firms have, and less than a finding. We have not looked at your calendar, your inbox, your practice management system or the three spreadsheets that hold the parts nobody admits to.

What the Audit does differently is follow one real job that actually happened, with a name and a date on it, and put a measured number against every gap. Then each finding carries an hours-per-month figure and a confidence rating, so you can tell the ones we are sure about from the ones we are not. If your guess above turns out to be wrong, that is itself the finding.
